Royal Deeside : K&D Voice

K&D VOICE is the Kincardine and Deeside (South Aberdeenshire) branch of the Council for Voluntary Service.

The office is located at 72a High Street, Banchory.

The main role of the organisation is to support and develop voluntary groups in this area. We provide information, advice and services. We maintain a database of local groups and contacts, to promote networking in the voluntary sector. See below for more information.

K&D VOICE is also responsible for (and partly funded by) two general Thrift Shops, in Banchory and Stonehaven. The Banchory Boxroom specialises in furniture and household goods donated by the general public.

K&D VOICE Services

K&D VOICE employs two Development Workers who advise local groups on issues such as:

• Funding opportunities and applications
  
• Development and work plans
  
• Constitutions and legal status
  
• Employment contracts

A bi-monthly Newsletter is available to all affiliated groups, or on request.

• The office also offers:
  
• Resources (books and reports)
  
• Use of equipment (some -like photocopier - charged to cover costs)
  
• Administrative services
  
• A payroll service for voluntary groups, at reasonable rates.

We also act on behalf of groups who need to carry out Disclosure (criminal record) checks on volunteers or paid staff. Advice is free, but a small administration charge is made for submitting actual applications.
