The Evening Entertainment programme for 2010 is being prepared we give below the programme for 2009 as an indication of what might be expected. (entertainment)

We are also hoping to get permission from Hilton Craigendarroch Hotel for participants to use their swimming pool.

The coordinator for Walking Week is David Horne. Walks are led by experienced walkers, many being professional and others being skilled and knowledgeable local residents. In most of the special areas the local rangers and wardens will be on hand to provide extra help and information.

The 'Eightsome Real' is a must at the Friday ceilidh.

All evening events are Free Entry for Walkers. Donations to Mountain Rescue would be welcome.

All Walkers are temporary social members of the Golf Club and may use the Clubhouse facilities during the week.
The Supper Room has now been renamed the Mike Sheridan Room and is part of the Victoria and Albert Community Halls.

Register for the Walking Festival.
Enjoy a complimentary buffet and a glass of wine or soft drink.
Meet your guides and old and new friends.

Sunday 16th May

Michael Sheridan Room
8.30pm

Aberdeen Angus and other Outdoor Activities
Renowned throughout the world 'Aberdeen Angus Beef' is synonymous
with quality and excellence. Those two words aptly describe
Ken Howie who has a prize winning herd on his Cairnton farm.
Ken who also runs the Deeside Activity Park, a brewery and heaven
knows what else is simply - not to be missed.

Monday 17th May

Race Night
Enjoy an evening at the races and a flutter on the Tote (only 50p)
Real races and real excitement - a great way to spend an evening.
Bet on your fancy or be lucky and own a winner.
Fun guaranteed and light refreshments thrown in.

Tuesday 18th May

Golf Club
7.30 for 8.00 pm

Walking Festival Dinner
A lovely three course dinner and coffee.
This event is exclusively for you and helpers.
Cost is £22 inc.grats. and booking is essential.
Make your menu choice in advance and pay on the night.

Wednesday 19th May

Michael Sheridan Room
8.30pm

 

Balmoral - Outside the Castle
Glyn Jones will amaze with the diversity of the Balmoral Ranger Service.
From Balmoral itself to mountain rescue, wildlife, archaeology,
birds of prey and even upland pathwork - this is the ultimate outdoor life.
Learn more about this great estate which has made Deeside 'Royal'.

Thursday 20th May

Golf Club Upstairs Bar
8.30pm

Brainteasers and Puzzle Evening.
A quiz with a difference. Not just for brainy folk!
Teams of four, but just come and we will make up teams on the night.
Coffee, Tea and Biscuits sponsored by Elaine the Club Caterer.
Prizes and surprises.

Friday 21st May

Victoria Hall
8.00pm

Walking Festival Ceilidh
Your chance to let your hair down to the music of Rob McCombie.
Grand Raffle and bring you own refreshments.




All evening events are Free Entry for Walkers.
All Walkers are temporary social members of the Golf Club and may use the Clubhouse facilities during the week.


Any person or group can use the leisure facilities at the Hilton Craigendarroch for a swim or just to relax. The entrance fee is £8.00 per person per visit, but for a group visit, there could be a reduced fee. Please take this programme with you for identification purposes to help the staff charge the agreed fee.
