Ballater Caravan Park

Ballater Caravan Park is a holiday park currently operated by Aberdeenshire Council. This substantial park serves tourists to Royal Deeside and the eastern Cairngorms National Park. It lies just eight miles east of Balmoral Castle. Ballater (RD) Ltd (or BRD) is seeking to lease this site under the Community Asset Transfer programme.

If successful the site will be operated by Ballater Community Enterprise Ltd (or BCE), a subsidiary company wholly owned by BRD, a registered Scottish Charity. The subsidiary company will act as the trading arm of BRD.

It is expected that operation of the site will transfer to BCE on or around 23rd March 2012.

Aberdeenshire Council will continue to handle booking enquiries until the transfer takes place. Details are available on the Council's website. It is expected that charges for touring caravans and campers in 2012 will be about 5% greater than the charges in 2011.
