Aboyne Rugby Football Club

Aboyne Rugby Football Club play on The Green in the beautiful Deeside village of Aboyne. The club was formed in 1977 and runs one senior team and a large junior and youth section, with teams for micros, P4, P5, P6, P7, S1 & S2, U16 and U18.

The club has strong links with Clichy and St Dennis in Paris, often organizing reciprocal tours to renew the Auld Alliance.

At the end of each season several trophies are awarded including the Nigel Wilkinson memorial cup presented to the winning team of the traditional Captains versus President’s match which takes place on the Green in Aboyne and attracts a big crowd, including many old friends of the club.
