Prepared from an original booklet of poems in the possession of Ian Smith, Belwade Cottage, Aboyne. The idea put forward by George Smith, Building, Contractor, Dee-Sealladh, Charleston Road, Aboyne.

Ian was Water Board Inspector for Deeside, now retired. He is a piper sergeant and teaches piping. George was the builder who built the granite gates on the Aboyne Green in the year 2000.
